Dr. Asli Elif Tanugur Samanci is a passionate food engineer and biologist, with over 20 years of experience in bee products. She is an expert in this arena, with a wealth of experience behind her.
Dr. Samanci has accumulated deep understanding and vast knowledge in every element from harvesting, to product development, to processing, to applications. She has played a key role in the development of Mānuka Health’s propolis, royal jelly and bee venom range.
Recognised and renowned across the scientific world, Dr Catchpole is a lead scientist at Callaghan Innovation. He has been seconded to Mānuka Health ever since 2012 – collaborating with our R&D team to evolve and refine our mānuka honey and propolis products. Dr Catchpole has spent years researching the elusive power of propolis, and his significant findings on Mānuka Health’s BIO New Zealand Propolis have been published.
Professor Henle is Head of the Institute of Food and Chemistry at one of Germany’s most prestigious educational institutions; the Technical University of Dresden. Alongside his team, Professor Henle published a groundbreaking paper that identified methlyglyoxal (MGO) as the miraculous compound that defines the potency and power of mānuka honey.
